Corona Extra
Country of Origin: Mexico
First Brew: 1925
Blood Alcohol Concentration: 4.6%
Serving Temperature: 5-7°C
Corona was first brewed in 1925 by Grupo Modelo. It was believed, in 1926, that in order to preserve better its flavor, it was thought to use a dark bottle to Corona Extra. However, this change was rejected and it continues the use of transparent containers, which clearly has benefited the brand strategy over time. Ten years after its launch Corona Extra was already recognized as the best-selling beer in Mexico. Corona starts a process of advertising that position it as brand leader in the country.
